This was a pit stop for lunch one day, I was not expecting much, it was tuesday at 2 pm and I was cosidering my self lucky to get a sandwhich.
I ordered the burger off of the standard menu, it arrived in around 20 minutes which I spent talking to the land lady, who is obviously in the job becuase she likes it.
The burger arrived and it was great, the role was fresh, the cheese tasted good, and at worst was a mature cheddar, local or not I don't know. The burger its self was excellent, cooked to a crisp finish on the outside, whlist still juicey in the middle. Chips were thick slow cooked and great.
The relish served with the burger was a home made effort with ketcup and gurkins, and although it wasn't very classy, it was great.
Top marks, a very nice lunch, friendly atmosphere made it even better.
